Pirate Code

Welcome to the Dirty Skull

Here on the Dirty Skull, we aim to provide a welcoming, non-judgmental and non-confrontational space, for every pirate out there, traversing the seas of Twitch.TV, to enjoy. To this effect, we ask that all pirates embody our Pirate Code, allowing for a friendly and positive experience for all to enjoy.

In addition to the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines provided and enforced by Twitch.TV, we personally, provide a set of regulations (our Pirate Code) that are enforced and adhered to within the confines of the channel, twitch.tv/burkeblack.

Be advised: Some of these regulations overlap with those already set and enforced by Twitch.TV, and as such, can result in a harsher punishment if disregarded.

PG-16 Chat

A PG-16 chat is best described as a relaxed family-friendly chat.

Such things as racial slurs, homophobic remarks and F-bombs are considered to fall outside of our relaxed family-friendly scope and, are therefore, inappropriate for our chat.

Tip: You can learn more with our blacklisted words list.

Software/Game Piracy

"Software Piracy is the unauthorized use, copying or distribution of copyrighted software – this is the equivalent of theft and is, therefore, a crime.” – 'Piracy FAQ', PTC, 2019

We are of the firm belief that software developers deserve to be supported for the hard work they do, and while talk of such things is not illegal, it is PROHIBITED within our chat.

Conflicts or Complaints

Personal conflicts or complaints about particular persons or things, should be resolved within your own personal messages, private chat rooms or whispers, NOT the public chat of Twitch.TV.

Respecting The Moderators

“Moderators (Mods) ensure that chat is up to the standards of the Broadcaster by removing offensive posts and spam that detracts from conversations.” – ‘Guide to Building a Moderation Team’, Twitch.TV Help

Respecting and adhering to the words of our moderator team is expected of any pirate that boards the Dirty Skull. They have proven their merit, and embody everything we aim for the Dirty Skull to be.

Respecting their authority includes allowing them to wield their swords without interference. This allows for newer members of the crew to get better acquainted with the running of the ship, and avoid any confusion.

We appreciate your attempts to help, but please allow those equipped and trusted to deal with any riff raff, to do so uninterrupted.

Note: If your want to help is too great to contain, we encourage you to apply to become apart of our moderator team, and look forward to welcoming you to slavery our team. Apply Today!

Religion and Politics

With the varying religious views and political values of the Dirty Skull crew, there is a high chance that disagreements will occur. In order to avoid this, and stick to our aim of a friendly and welcoming space, talk of such things will NOT be tolerated in chat.

We ask that ALL chat be kept to the English language, as the Captain and crew are primarily English speakers, and we will be unable to understand or help you if necessary.

We apologize if this makes you feel excluded from chat, but thank-you for understanding all the same.
